New Board Elected for 2013 Season

posted 11/18/2012 Hello Lenape Valley Families,
We recently held our annual Board elections for the upcoming 2013 season. Almost all Board positions have been spoken for.
However, we still have 2 openings that we will need to fill ASAP: Umpire in Chief and Sponsorship. If you have an interest in volunteering for either of these positions or questions about what they entail, please contact me immediately.
This year’s Board is an outstanding group of top-notch volunteers looking to serve our baseball community. In addition to our returning members, we have quite a few new faces. We have two new commissioners, Chris Antoniello who is leading our youngest players in the Single A Division and Craig Anderson who takes charge of the elders in the Majors Division. Ed Harbaugh and Buck McKeever have assumed VP and Commisioner roles on our Travel Board.
The Executive Board also has a new look for 2013. Tom Fountain has assumed the role of Vice President and Director of Little League. Patty Hovis brings her savvy accounting background to count our dollars and cents as the league Treasurer.
We also have a few members who have gone above and beyond by taking on multiple positions. In addition to seeing her smiling face at the Tower Hill snack stand, Nancy Amero is now in charge of Fund Raising. Craig Collier extends his Special Events position by taking on our Little League Tournament Director. Finally, some guy name Al Tielemans is taking on Publicity as well as Commissioner of Connie Mack Coaches.
I would like to send a special thanks to Al and his entire family for the last 3 years they have given to the Lenape Valley community. He truly put forth a selfless, dedicated effort that has put our league in an excellent position for years to come. The next time you see Al on the fields, please take a moment to thank him as well for all he has done.
I have taken over for Al as President of the league. I have been an active parent, coach, and Board member with the league for the past 7 years. I look forward to carrying on the work that Al has done as well as working with all of the Board Members in continuing to make Lenape Valley one of the best baseball leagues imaginable.
Sincerely,
Chris DiLissio
President
